NBA FINALS 2017- Best Opinion from a Fan, What’s Your’s Buddy?

Here is one of the best opinion from a legit NBA fan from the Philippines who shares his observation in technical and historical way on how the story of the NBA 2017 Finals will about to unfold. Live Score while writing this article is 29-18 in favor of Cleveland Cavaliers after a trey from KD with 4:44 to go in the First Quarter.  Your Comments and suggestions please.

The Golden State Warriors will be the new NBA champs a few minutes from now, IF they’d be able to close out game 4 in the Cleveland Cavalier’s home-court. Yes, they have literally toyed with the Cavs for the past 3 games, even when the 2 best players of Cavs in Lebron & Kyrie,  gave the best they could in game 3  (I gave everything I had. LBJ) , Cavs almost win,… almost.

GSW should be able to close out the series today, IF the ghosts of the past won’t hunt them, what ghosts were talking here? KD with OKC last year up 3-1 against GSW, lost to Curry and the Warriors. GSW (73-9), up 3-1 vs Cavs, failed to close out, and…

I’m sure everyone still remembers what happened next. Lebron , Kyrie ,Love & the Cavs will be part of history IF GSW is bent on closing out the finals today (GSW 16-0) , its just that they’d be on the negative side of that story. But if , Cavs would be able to win this one at home after giving it all that they could, its win or go home for them, we might be in for another great comeback from LBJ, who’s visited the Philippines, where basketball is treated like the national sport, and where everyone knows that never say die spirit from the Big J, who knows?

LBJ might actually be a fan of the Big J too.

NBA Finals ; Cavs Must Win All Games! Do You Still Believe They Can ? Read it Here

All I was looking at is the bottom of the net and I’ve been working on that shot my whole life…. For that one to go was liberating.” Kevin Durant said during a post game interview that saw his new team the Golden State Warriors one win away to the Championship podium.

Will you give up when the going get’s tough and the chance to do it become tougher than it should’ve use to be? This is the very nature of challenging situation that multi-awarded basketball MVP LeBron James and his teammates are now facing.  No more room left for excuses, no more space for error and no fraction of a seconds is worth left unused for every time they play the opponent who are determined to dethroned them in four chances resume the best of seven series at the Cavaliers home court, the Quicken Loans Arena in Ohio USA.

Will Lebron and the Cavaliers be Able to Equalize? Here are my Suggestions!

The ball is round as expected from those die hard fans (DefendTheLand) who still believes that the team has also four chances to still win it and that it’s just made the series more excited but realistically complicated if not frustratingly difficult, if only they could’ve been able to turn back the hands of time and put on the correct plays and defensive stops.

Let me put it this way, the defending champs have all four chances to win it game after game till the last seventh of the series while the Golden State Warriors have the same number of chance to close it game after every game and the same amount of literal energy, intensity and intelligent way to win it and close the best of seven series of the National Basketball Association 2017 Finals and return back the Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy to the Bay Area.  Your comments are highly valuable to the NBA fans.

Will Lebron and the Cavaliers be Able to Equalize? Here are my Suggestions!

The defending Champs are seemed to be digging almost the same hole in the current NBA Finals  where the Golden State Warriors are leading them at 2 to nothing in the best of seven series heading to the Cleveland Cavaliers home court where many observers say that role players plays their best,… for games 3 and 4 before going back to the Oracle Arena at the Bay Area for Game 5.

The King was never been a disappointment for the last two game loses judging from his latest triple double performance and a better middle game tenacity where the lead was just down to 3,  67 – 64 for the Warriors , but outplayed in that second quarter 30 – 27  in favor of Cavs. They were unable to sustain that momentum and caught flatfooted with the Warriors blazing guns as they unloaded a flurry of treys and open shots off some transition that was too much for them to matched as Lebron James tirelessly fought back without any help from his teammates.

Unless the supporting crews produce substantial numbers in the stat-sheets thats the only time we can say that the Championship series is not over yet. The likes of Kevin Love, Kyle Kolver , JR Smith and Kyrie Irving must step up in terms of offense and Iman Shumpert, Richard Jefferson, Tristan Thompson and Deron Williams should make their turns in defending and sacrificing their bodies to force turnovers which is the missing factor in the past two games. How will Coach Tyrone Lue make adjustments will be seen in the next two games and that is how will they CONSISTENTLY COVER AT THE SAME TIME the threat of outside offense of the Warriors, Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson.

We wanted to see a close game, a dog-fight… an intense one where the results are being decided in the remaining fraction of a seconds. Will the Cavaliers response with the more challenging and opposing team lead by the trifecta of KD, SC and KT? Will the Cleveland come out with a consistent offense for the first 12 minutes, second 24, third 36 and fourth full quarters 48 minutes of the game and still have an ounce of air for an Overtime if necessary?

That’s one of the key factor here, the Warriors key players have the luxury to grasp for air when needed as the bench players were similarly putting up numbers and help defense whenever the Cavaliers make their run. Does the proper and timely use of time outs spell the same factor, to some experts… YES. The Warriors simply push the red button if needed and that truly made the difference in sustaining the momentum they’ve built and like a piece of lollipop they don’t wanna lose the lead even for a single point, but the dreaded fact is they’re always leading in double figures.

One game at a time here’s what the Cavaliers need to check;

  • Get back Kyrie Irving to play position 1 for Lebron to play SOLID 2.
  • The Kick and Roll thing they’ve done against their previous playoffs opponents must be put into action, where Kevin Love and Kyle Korver becomes open and hit their specialties .
  • Look-out for those in-bound plays and avoid that ugly double screens, thats too amateur and make the complicated play overly complicated.
  • Put somebody to Defend Kevin Durant, so as not to get Lebron James easily tired and out of gas going into the last two quarters of the game where the chips are high.
  • Reactivate JR Smith to his old role, he”s been the weakest link so far. Let him hold the ball during offense to create openings and mismatches for LBJ and KL.
  • Put either of the Jones ( James and Dahntay) to defend alternately the trifecta of the Warriors.
  • Engage the Warriors with a more solid physical game. Man for man.
  • Give Lebron and Kyrie at least 2 minutes rest or 30 seconds per quarter when necessary.
  • Dont let the Warriors lead by double figures going to the last quarter, stay close or at least always on the gas if possible.
  • Match the intensity and speed of the Warriors from both ends of the court, there should be no dull seconds, this is a Championship series.

consistency is the key and play with the same intensity for the four full quarters to win the game.

Hey, you’re the Defending Champs here SO PLAY LIKE ONE, thats the reason why the Golden Sate Warriors are leading the series because they’re defensively ready to take or to challenge every attempt the Cavaliers made from the parking lot to the inside paint area without thinking of being fouled out and unable to finish the game. That’s a character that really spells the difference … for now.

Warriors Sweep the Spurs heading to the NBA Finals for the Third Time!

The NBA fever is heating up as the bold predictions of basketball gurus and fans are slowly taking shape ! We can never be excited with the recent win of the Boston Celtics versus the defending NBA champs, the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Now that the Golden State Warriors have flexed its muscle via multiple sweep that started with the Portland Trailblazers where Damian Lillard predicted a bold 4-2 victory in favor to them then followed by four to nothing western semifinals game with the Utah Jazz that seen its future in Gordon Hayward who was the only Jazz player to put up good numbers versus the Warriors defenders. And finally in the recently concluded western conference finals games against the San Antonio Spurs, Kevin Durant who’ve missed several games into the playoffs have made his presence felt by helping the Warriors trio of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green sweep the best of Texas area where most of the observers have expressed their opinions that..

“it would have been a different series should the Spurs leading scorer have not encountered that ungrateful ankle injury off a three point shot”

with Zaza Pachulia who in turn also got injured in the succeeding game and unable to play till the clincher.

The question now is , will the Warriors challenge the defending champion if ever the Cleveland Cavaliers close the series in their next two games , at home and at the TD Garden for Game 5. It is a different Warriors roster as compared to last year, gone were Andre Bogut, Harrison Barnes and Speights who are somehow part of the wrecking crews of Coach Steve Kerr.

Aside from KD as the major addition to the team, center Javale McGee provides not only the height and muscle inside the paint but his agility is nowhere near for a challenge versus any of the Eastern finalist team. Tristan Thompson is a little slower and Al Horford lacks the power to slow down McGee.

It’ll be a battle of torching the rims with consistent treys and free throws. Man for man the Warriors has a little edge in 1-2 position against the Cavs, but at the 3-4 it’s the other way around. We are about to see a battle of tenacity and sacrifices from both teams as these two have a score to settle way back two seasons. Though am not writing off the Celtics to score an upset with their depleted lineup, the way Boston guys have responded to the challenge of getting drown in the hole is remarkable. The big question is if Le Bron James will continue his poor performance in Game 3 or he’ll come with guns blazing to finish off the Celtics in Game 5 ? That needs to be seen as we can never tell what adjustments are the Celtics and Coach Brad Stevens are cooking up in Cleveland in order to duplicate the path they’ve done with the Wizards.

Think about this, the supporting crews of the Cavaliers are mere audience to Kevin Love’s shooting clinic that they’ve forgot to manned the wing in its entirety that the Celtics were able to break lose and penetrate the paint with Kelly Olynyk scoring in silence off an outstanding performance versus the Wizards.

Boston played smarter than the Cavs with the way Coach Brad Steven handled the game in short Ty Lue was out-coached, period. What is clear right now is this … the Golden State Warriors are on their third trip to the NBA Finals waiting as if to defend the lost title not to regain it with the way the series have transpired in the west.

We let the Spurs go as the Celtics are showing it’s not luck in winning games in the east with the Cavaliers defending its land while the Dub nation are watching. – Paquito

What We Do Know About Kawhi Leonard’s Ankle Injury, NBA Western Conference Finals 2017

Most of the social media links and posts are braided with the recent season remaining threatening ankle injury that cost the first game loss of the Western Conference Finals of the San Antonio Spurs from the Golden State Warriors. One of the argument was if the act were committed intentionally or not. And the other one is about the way game was won by the Golden State Warriors.

Kawhi Leonard’s injury started during the Western Conference Semifinals versus the Houston Rockets off a banking shot with James Harden, then in the recently concluded game 1 with the bench team mate foot and the Zaza Pachulia’s incidence where his landing left foot got in contact with the latter’s left foot. Spurs were up and in control until the said foul.  The San Antonio Spurs according to Spurs fans could’ve won the game easily with Kawhi Leonard on the floor but loss it with a single possession. That is according to them, but in my own point of view… I saw it very different.

First and foremost, the game is in a hostile turf with one of the loudest fans in the NBA and nowhere will the Warriors will just hand them the victory very easily. Second, it’s game 1 and both are reading and feeling the tenacity of each defense and offense that’ll purposely bring the x-factor and the winning combo and pacing of the western conference finals. Though the San Antonio Spurs have the better experience in this level of competition we cannot discount the fluidity and cohesion of the Warriors with one of the deadliest snipers in the league. Third in the equation is the way the Warriors have perfected the small ball efficiency from beyond the arc to the inner lanes as evident with the players way of manning the defensive stops possession after possession that even the referees are sometimes caught in awe, even forgotten to whistle some travelings and illegal screens due to the faster and more agile pace of the Golden State Warriors team.

Lastly, both teams are feeling the absence or gaps of important players and coach. Spurs veteran point guard Tony Parker and the Golden State Warriors Head Coach Steve Kerr.

What we’ve seen in game 1 particularly the Kawhi Leonard and Zaza Pachulia are  a normal occurrence in this high level of championship game that we must put our focus in both team’s strategies and best combination on the floor in all four quarters of the game. Let’s see how the Spurs will bounce back and hold our breath how the Warriors have figured out the Spurs after a two points victory 48 hours from now!

Paquito Answer for the Day 28

Recognition is the full closure process of the over-all accomplishment of each individual in an organization, academe, sports, politics, government sanctioned examinations and for others due to exemplary contribution to a vital cause that creates improvement and potential changes in an industry or community.

Some are asking, is it healthy asking or soliciting opinions while the process  of details are still on the data collection and be subjected to comparative analysis.. I bet no. For as long as the competition is on the process, anything is bound to happen and that predictive opinions are just mere statement of facts based on the data collected or just a series of hopes and falsum nuntium.
