Info Drive

Here’s a word termed after the act in getting public awareness and simple understanding of a new policy, protocols or rules and regulation soon to be enacted as form of governance. Why and how to do it is a larger than life duties for those who are tasked or assigned to do it.

It should have been easier for them given the best and fastest tool available including multimedia that’ll surely reach even the far flung places. Still, all the platform outlets designed to reach the people are the same source of possible dismay, disappointment and negative reactions once the source of the information or the people trying to make their own interpretations failed to get the simple message it has to , but jocular exegesis.

Did it help the source to get what it wants? Or the message itself tore down the chance to get it on a serious note? No one can tell but the people themselves who, are entitled to their own… opinion.

Australia-Philippines FIBA Verdict

Oh boy, the father just handed its verdict. The drama and violence has now taken a back seat as the FIBA officials from Switzerland handed down the result of their own investigation. Violence has no place nor included in the game of basketball contrasting the way it is being played, a lot contacts and denials. Height against heft, speed versus wall of wide bodied players. A lot has been been change and most have made change into their programs and representations from acquisition of foreign born players to beefed up the rosters and widened the chance to make it in the elusive Olympic dream. Then the introduction of what they call “Home and Away” where the games are played into one team’s home-court and the other to the opponents court and of course to make it economically viable FIBA made some major changes in terms of bracketing that pitches those teams against other opponents they’ve never used to play before. And the results was overwhelming.

Many are shocked with the outcome and heavy penalties imposed upon those the FIBA body thinks have made it worst. Will those stiff fines guarantees that such fracas will not happen again in the future with other teams?

I suggest FIBA officials go back to the drawing board and map-out again where and what in particular that needs attention to detail in terms of handling a cross-country competition. Is it still effective bringing in referees from other countries where basketball is not that popular or in the infancy period? Did the site inspection of the proposed venues really meet the prescribed standards with respect to security, safety of the players and its committee? Finally, does the home and away thing really bring in the planned higher competition level or will just boost the ego’s of those team that still trapped under the sheets of racial discrimination. While every country wanted to promote camaraderie and boundless love for the sports, it’s undeniable that racism still exists in the halls of sports venues, and even in workplaces. It’s high time that a psychological exams be given in every participating members of FIBA sanctioned tournament.

Paquito Answer for the Day 42

Sports superstars are also human! They’re also prone to losing, frustrations and high uncontrolled emotions. Watching the 2018 World Cup being held in Russia have somehow produced mixed reactions from the soccer fans especially from those seeded country teams like Argentina, rich in sports culture of winning the perennial event since the inception of Copa Del Mundo. But other countries kept on trying to catch up, little by little they’re almost there and enough to stage an upset even to one of the strongest team with a superstar named Messi. Those so so teams have their eyes also in the podium, teams from Africa and Asia have the same desire of making it to medal finish and that makes the competition fiercer that the level of challenge have gone up to the decibels of thousand crowds watching in the stadium to the restaurants tv monitors and the internet providing links to all social media.

But we must never forget the true essence of the competition and that is to promote camaraderie amongst nation of the seven continent of the world. Goal!
